Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Therapist (NMRT) Program
Time is money. Many people, especially athletes, can’t afford to take the time to properly rehabilitate injuries. They end up constantly reinjuring themselves and creating chronic problems.
Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Therapy (NMRT) offers a solution to this problem. It not only rehabilitates the injury, it reduces chronic pain, improves normal function, and enhances athletic performance faster than traditional treatment methods.
Many doctors, chiropractors, and rehabilitation facilities are seeking trained neuromuscular therapists who possess the assessment techniques necessary to identify injuries and the skills to properly rehabilitate them. NMRT protocols are especially attractive to medical professionals because they are billable under Colorado insurance laws.
If you are seeking to set yourself apart from the crowd and gain a real competitive advantage in your private practice, NMRT will provide you with cutting edge technology to treat sports and repetitive strain injuries.

You will learn how to isolate dysfunctional patterns in the deep muscles of the neck and jaw, rehabilitate and return the area to normal function. One result of this treatment is pain reduction of tension headaches. Stretches and exercises taught reduce the chance of reoccurrence. You will also learn whiplash assessment techniques by identifying range of motion limitations in the neck and common compensation patterns. We teach you advanced neuromuscular strokes, cross fiber and trigger point interventions to increase function and reduce pain.
This course gives you the tools necessary to provide long-term relief for your clients. You will learn assessment tools, advanced neuromuscular rehabilitation strokes, mobilization techniques, and ice and hydrotherapy to help your clients overcome repetitive strain injuries. We’ve combined Thoracic Outlet treatment with Carpal Tunnel because many of the same shoulder dysfunctions that entrap nerve and blood flow affect both disorders. These skills are a must for the corrective therapist because success with repetitive strain injuries can determine whether clients can remain on the job and be productive.
Course will address common problems such as: chronic foot and leg pain; calf, arch, and foot cramps; and burning sensations. You will learn how to prevent reoccurrences and increase runner’s efficiency.
Scoliosis is a very treatable condition if you know the right moves. Even clients with congenital forms of scoliosis can receive great relief from the techniques offered. We will demonstrate how to “unwind” the rotational forces that hold scoliosis in place and the effective stretching and exercise necessary to assist your clients in developing structural balance. Home exercise protocols will be given to encourage continued client participation in maintaining structural integrity.
This course will address problems arising from low back dysfunction, something that 90% of the population will experience at least once in their lives. We will demonstrate how L-4, L-5, and S-1 compression is the key to the problem and give you tools to assess, relieve pain, and increase mobility. You will learn more techniques to relieve hip problems and sciatica.
Pain patterns are often hidden or disguised depending on which muscles are acting inefficiently on a joint. The client may not be able to specifically identify the exact area of pain and often it will be spread over a diffuse area. You will learn how to assess dysfunction using muscle testing to quickly get to the root of the problem. Once the cause of the pain pattern is determined to be primary or secondary, we will teach you the proper treatment plan for structural rebalance of the joint. Active and passive testing will be demonstrated to identify whether an injury is in the muscle, ligament or joint capsule.
The goal of this course is to learn how to develop a maintenance program to enhance athletic output and performance of any client from the beginner, weekend warrior to the professional athlete. Learning how to develop a successful Home Exercise Plan (HEP) that excites your clients enough to actually participate in it on a daily basis is the “holy grail” of creating long lasting change. This course will teach you a script to ask the right questions during intake to clearly define functional problems and goals, specific movement assessment and palpation techniques to isolate issues that are causing problems so you can zero in on treatment areas with confidence. We will show you how to implement individualized treatment plans and offer flexible methods to readjust the plan as the results of treatment reveal more factors during the session. Active demonstration techniques will be shown so that you can instruct, observe and correct the client in the proper activities to insure the success of the tailor made HEP when they practice on their own.
